Professional profile:
I graduated from Edinburgh University and began my ophthalmic career in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. I completed my training at Newcastle, including fellowships in plastic surgery there and in Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia.

My clinical practice encompasses all general eye conditions, however I specialise in cataract surgery and plastic surgery around the eyes including tumour and growth removal and upper lid blepharoloplasty as well as Botox treatments. I also specialise in surgery for watery eyes, droopy eyelids as well as artificial eyes.
Personal profile:
I am married with two teenage boys. My outside interests centre around sport and music. I played first class rugby and represented Scotland in the University side. Now I restrict myself to tennis, golf and windsurfing.
