My private orthopaedic practice has been based at Spire Portsmouth Hospital since 2003.
I have a special interest in hand and wrist surgery but still undertake a regular commitment in general orthopaedic trauma at Queen Alexandra Hospital.
I have been practicing as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since July 2002 at Queen Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Hospital Haslar. Since the closure of Haslar I am based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, but also do peripheral clinics at Petersfield Hospital.
I trained at Cambridge and St Mary's Hospital, Paddington. During my orthopaedic training I undertook a hand and trauma fellowship in Capetown, South Africa.
I am married to Helen. She is a Physiotherapist who runs her own business. We also have six young children. We have now got a television and recently added a dog to the family.
In my spare time (a distant memory) I do the Cresta Run, enjoy cricket and play the cello.
