Professional profile:
Mr Chris Hand graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 1988. He obtained fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1996 and subsequently entered Calman training in 1997.

This specialist training was spent mainly within the Wessex and Avon regions and was consolidated with a period in the Bristol Limb Reconstruction unit treating limb deformity, chronic osteomyelitis and complex fractures. He also spent a a year fellowship in sports orthopaedics; especially arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, in Toronto, Canada.

He gained orthopaedic and trauma specialist examination in Feb 2002 and certificate of completion of specialist training in April 2003.
Personal profile:
Mr Hand is married with two school age children. Having hung up his rugby boots, he now indulges in ballroom dancing lessons with his wife as a social / sporting activity.
