I started practising at the Spire Portsmouth Hospital in March 2008, although I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Hospital Haslar (Portsmouth NHS Trust) since 2004.

I have a special interest in hand and wrist surgery, including carpal instability, wrist arthroscopy, fracture fixation, forearm and hand reconstruction. Additionally, I undertake a significant amount of trauma surgery and general orthopaedics to maintain a broad orthopaedic knowledge for my role within the Royal Naval Medical Services. As part of this role, I deploy on a regular basis with the Defence Medical Services to various trouble spots around the world in support of Military Forces.

During my training I was fortunate enough to undertake fellowships in upper limb and hand surgery at the Wrightington Hospital near Wigan and abroad in Toronto, Canada at both the Sunnybrook and Women's College Hospital and Toronto Western General Hospital, learning trauma, orthopaedic and plastic surgical techniques. I also obtained a Doctor of Medicine Postgraduate Degree from Southampton University in 2004.

On a more personal front, I orginate from West Sussex and have lived in Hampshire on and off for the last 20 years. My heart lies with the sea and I have spent a considerable amount of time at sea with the Royal Navy. My particular interests include yachting and dingy sailing, classical music and I play several musical instruments.
