Professional profile:
I am a UK trained dermatologist (Southampton, London, Los Angeles) who was the dermatologist to the Royal Navy from 1984 until 2006. I deal with all aspects of general dermatology but have a particular interest in surgical dermatology, treating benign moles and all forms of skin cancer. I carry out Mohs Surgery for the removal of difficult and recurrent basal cell carcinomas. I think it is important to be accessible to patients and am able to see patients both in Southampton, Portsmouth and in Titchfield (Fareham).
Personal profile:
I was born and went to school in Essex. I studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge and Medicine at St. Bartholomew¿s Hospital, London. I joined the Royal Navy as a student and have spent a full career spending time on ships and at the Royal Navy Hospitals. I am married with five children. My leisure interests include golf, travelling, tennis, sailing.
