Dr Goggin is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with a NHS appointment at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth for the last 8 years. He went to Oxford University Medical School and subsequently worked and trained at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Wexham Park, Bart’s, St George’s, St Hellier’s, Royal Hampshire County, and Southampton General Hospital. He has gained a great deal of experience in all aspects of gastroenterology, particularly disorders of the oesophagus, stomach and bowel, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. It is the nature of modern Gastroenterology that there needs to be co-operation with upper and lower gastrointestinal surgeons and he works closely with surgical colleagues.

Dr Goggin is a broad range of interests outside Gastroenterology. He is a keen skier, plays Hampshire League Squash, golf (handicap 5) and social tennis.
