Professional profile:

Dr Cook was appointed Consultant Dermatologist to Portsmouth NHS Trust in 1980 and trained in dermatology in Newcastle upon Tyne, this included medical and surgical dermatology, phototherapy, patch testing and research. Continued learning is a central part of his practice.

I offer a broad knowledge of dermatology.  My aims are:

  • To identify and address skin problems efficiently and pragmatically.
  • To explain the condition and the management clearly.
  • To provide people with a strategy and support for further management where appropriate.

I have extensive experience in managing skin problems, not limited to my particular interests, which are given above.

Personal profile:

My wife and I have three adult children and one grandson.  I am a keen skier but also enjoy walking, cycling and sailing.

Other interests inlcude natural history (particularly bird watching) and amateur photography.  I also sing in a choir and play classical guitar (badly).
