Spire Portsmouth Hospital is pleased to offer the new OvPlex™ ovarian cancer test.

In the UK around 6,600 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year and is the fifth most common cancer in women, according to Cancer Research UK.

OvPlex™ is a simple diagnostic blood test that measures the levels of five proteins in your blood, that are released by tumour cells as they grow. A superior diagnostic test, as previous tests identified only 1 protein, the OvPlex™ test provides greater accuracy.

The test costs £275 and is only available for purchase direct from Intus Healthcare the distributors of OvPlex in the UK at www.ovplex.co.uk.
