The Knee and Shoulder Clinic at Spire Parkway Private Hospital offers a multidisciplinary approach to patients with a wide variety of knee and shoulder disorders. The clinic provides an enhanced service for those patients suffering from disorders, including arthritis, dislocations, tendon injuries and tears, ligament and meniscal injuries and bursitis (inflammation).
Our experienced consultants can perform advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, traditional open surgery and the various joint replacements for specific problems. Following a discussion and examination they are able to advise on special investigation that may be appropriate and ultimately the most appropriate way to deal with the problem.
For some patients it may be best to have a trial of conservative treatment by way of injections, medication or physiotherapy and if you do not know or have your own physiotherapist the clinic is backed up by a dedicated team of physiotherapists at Parkway who themselves have an interest in treating problems affecting the shoulder and knee.
For other patients it may be best to proceed directly to early surgery and this can be discussed and planned at the time of the initial consultation.
