At Spire Parkway Hospital, our specialist Physiotherapist, Karen Sanders, assesses and treats both male and female incontinence disorders.
Specialised physiotherapy for male and female incontinence disorders
Karen will carry out and devise an appropriate treatment programme based on the individual’s needs. This may involve tailored pelvic floor exercises, EMG biofeedback and/or muscle stimulation, bladder or bowel retraining and urgent PC for an overactive bladder.
In association with her women’s health skills, Karen will also treat antenatal and post natal musculo-skeletal and continence related disorders, including back, pelvis and neck pain and all pregnancy related pelvic floor weaknesses. She will also advise on the type of exercising that can be done at each trimester and postnatal.
Karen is trained in the use of acupuncture to treat general, acute and chronic musculo-skeletal problems. She also assesses and treats musculo-skeletal problems with manual techniques, electrotherapy, isokinetic training and home exercises.
