Procedures offered for breast enlargement at Spire Parkway Hospital

At Spire Parkway Hospital, we offer a range of breast implant types, sizes and shapes in a variety of brands. Your consultant will help you choose the best options for you.

Types of implant:

  • Silicone gel (soft or firm) – less likely to wrinkle and a more natural feel, with Polyurethane-coated implants less likely to rotate
  • Saline – may be more prone to wrinkling than silicone but lower risk of complications if they rupture

Shapes available:

  • Teardrop shape – you can choose the height and width separately, so there’s more flexibility with the shape
  • Round shape – a greater volume at the top
  • Projection – choose how much the implant sticks out to give a subtle or a more obvious look

Brands that we offer include:

  • Nagor
  • Sebbin
  • Polytech
  • Johnson & Johnson

Your consultations

One of our experienced cosmetic surgeons will be able to offer you an initial consultation within a few days of you contacting us.

Your initial appointments will take place in a private consultation room. We’ll:

  • Ask about your medical history
  • Explain any tests you’ll need before your surgery
  • Tell you about the procedure, anaesthetic, the different implant options, and any potential complications and risks
  • Suggest an alternative treatment such as a breast uplift, if we think it’s more appropriate for you
  • Explain about the cooling-off period we offer to allow you time to give full consideration to this important decision
  • Give you a chance to ask any questions you have about your treatment and aftercare

You may also need to have a pre-operative assessment before the procedure.

Breast enlargement surgery: your procedure

Your surgeon will be able to explain how long you’re likely to stay in hospital and what you need to bring with you. In some cases, you may be ready to go home on the same day as your procedure. If you need to stay overnight, you’ll have your own private en-suite room with all the comforts you’d expect at home, including:

  • TV
  • En-suite
  • Window
  • Armchair
  • Free WiFi

If you’ve come with a friend or family member, they’re welcome to wait in your private room while you have your operation.

On the day of your surgery, there’ll be a chance to meet your anaesthetist and surgical team. Before the procedure, you’ll have a general anaesthetic so you'll be asleep.

During the operation, which usually takes between one and two hours, your surgeon will make incisions in your breasts and insert your new implants.
