Mr Sameh El-kawy graduated with Honours in 1991 from the faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo-Egypt. He carried out his postgraduate training at one of the top university hospital in Cairo-Egypt and at several hospitals in Wales, Birmingham and Surrey, UK.

In 2005, Mr.El-kawy gained his accreditation in the UK as a fully qualified orthopaedic surgeon.

In 2006, he spent one year learning all aspects of foot & ankle surgery at Gloucester & Cheltenham hospitals, from there he went on to do a knee reconstruction fellowship at Guy’s & St.Thomas hospital in London.

In 2007, Mr.El-kawy was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at South Warwickshire Hospitals where he provides a specialist service for foot & ankle surgery (adults and paediatrics) including taking tertiary referrals from other hospitals. He also provides a specialist service for knee surgery.

In 2008, he went on a travelling fellowship to visit and learn the latest techniques from some of the world’s experts in foot & ankle surgery in the Netherlands, Switzerland and France.

Mr El-kawy has extensive experience in all aspects of foot & ankle surgery, including forefoot, hind foot, paralytic foot disorders, sports injuries, and arthroscopic ankle surgery. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of knee surgery including complex sports related ligament surgery, patello-femoral surgery and knee arthroplasty.

He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, fellow to the Royal College of physicians and surgeons of Glasgow, Royal College of surgeons of England and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK).
