Mr Sintler graduated in medicine from the university of Birmingham in 1993. He completed basic surgical training in the West Midlands region and in 1996 became a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2000 he undertook a two years period of research looking at methods of reducing blood loss during surgery and at the molecular profiling of arterial disease. This culminated in the award of MMedSci with distinction. His specialist surgical training was completed in the West Midlands and he was awarded the Intercollegiate Speciality Examination in General Surgery with a sub-specialty interest in Breast surgery in 2007.
Mr Sintler was appointed as consultant General Surgeon with a special interest in Breast Surgery in 2008 when he joined SWBH NHS Trust, Sandwell and City Hospitals. He is now part of the largest breast team in the West Midlands, and one of the largest breast units in the UK. He specialises in the rapid diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant breast conditions, sentinel lymph node biopsy and short stay breast and general surgery.
