Mr Shad was appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in January 2004.

He completed his training at Edinburgh, Oxford and the USA and is trained to deal with spinal conditions, including complex spinal problems and pain relief. He has undertaken extensive research and applies a new technique to treat cervical disc problems instead of the traditional method of harvesting graft from the hip bone, which can sometimes be painful. Post-operative recovery in patients treated by this technique is generally faster.

Mr Shad is able to offer all private patients with back and neck problems an out-patient consultation within one week of referral and imaging, where appropriate, within two weeks of referral.

Treatment plans will be available to patients within one week of the initial out-patient consultation.
