I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. I specialise in corneal and cataract surgery. My special interests include customised cataract surgery and lamellar corneal transplantation.

Since my appointment in 2011, I have set up and established corneal transplant surgery at the Trust and also lead the Cataract and Corneal Service. I obtained my postgraduate training in eminent teaching centres in Wales, Yorkshire and London. I was awarded the prestigious Pfizer Ophthalmic Fellowship Award by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and undertook further subspecialty training in corneal transplant and laser refractive surgery with world renowned surgeons in Italy and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.

I have published several book chapters and papers in peer reviewed journals and presented numerous papers and posters at scientific meetings. I have also been an invited speaker at various national and international conferences and achieved several awards and prizes for my work.
