I am a consultant in obstetrics at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. I am an accredited Sonologist with a Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists certification in Maternal Medicine and Fetal Medicine/Ultrasound. I run fetal medicine clinics for women with problems with fetus/ babies. I also regularly manage patients with all varieties of medical problems in pregnancy. I also perform gynaecological and early pregnancy ultrasound. I pursued my research interest in preterm labour, which led to the award of the MD in research with many international and national publications and presentations. I have developed an innovative service at my NHS hospital called ‘Preterm prevention clinic’ which caters to all women who are at risk of preterm labour.I strongly believe in working in partnership both with the women I look after, and the team I work with. I believe in being open and true to my patients and giving them up to date information about their condition.
I am married to a hospital consultant and a mother of a teenage son at university. In my free time I enjoy walking, going to the gym and attending musical concerts.
