Consultant in Acute Medicine with an interest in Stroke Medicine, Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust
Dr Uzma Khan has been practicing as a consultant physician at Solihull Hospital (Heart of England NHS Foundation trust) since 2007. She completed her specialist training from Oxford John Radcliffe Hospitals. Her main speciality is Acute and Stroke Medicine (being dually accredited in GIM and Geriatric Medicine).
Dr Khan provides an Acute Stroke Thrombolysis 24/7 service at Solihull Hospital (HEFT) with other Stroke Physicians. She also shares an Acute Stroke Unit with a consultant colleague and conduct weekly fast tract TIA and General Medical clinics at Solihull Hospital. Dr Khan plans to develop a parallel fast tract TIA service at Parkway Hospital in conjunction with consultant colleagues Dr K Elfandi and Dr David Sandler.
Dr Uzma Khan is co and principle site investigator for ongoing stroke research projects nationally and in the Midlands. In addition to her clinical interests, she has an interest in Medical Education and is presently completing a master’s degree in Medical Education from Warwick University.
