Dr Stephen Rose qualified from the University of Cambridge and Guy's Hospital in London in 1975.

He trained in general and sub specialty paediatrics in London and Scotland receiving extensive training to develop expertise in paediatric allergy, diabetes and endocrinology. He received his Doctorate of medicine (MD) by original research in 1987.

Dr Rose was appointed consultant paediatrician to Heartlands Hospital in 1987. He has a wide experience in all aspects of general paediatrics.

Dr Rose was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatricians and Child Health in 1997.
