Dr Jaffer graduated from Karachi University in 1981 and has undertaken her post graduate training exclusively in the UK, mainly in the West Midlands.  She has been the Lead Consultant in Reproductive and Sexual Health in Birmingham since 2001.  

Dr Jaffer has extensive experience in the management of all aspects of contraceptive care and in the management of the menopause and HRT. 

She undertakes psychosexual counselling sessions for both men and women.  Education about sexual dysfunctioning frequently features in psychosexual therapy as does helping clients to relax and manage anxiety, relationship difficulties and other lifestyle issues.
