Dr Kaeng Lee joined the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Cardiologist in February 2009. He completed his postgraduate and specialist training in various hospitals within the West Midlands. His main clinical interests are interventional cardiology, cardiovascular research, hypertension and non-invasive coronary imaging including multislice CT scan (MSCT). He received his postgraduate MD degree in 2005 from the University of Birmingham on Thrombogenesis, Endothelial Dysfunction and Angiogenesis in Coronary Artery Disease.
Dr Lee has published extensively in various world renowned cardiovascular journals and has written several book chapters and edited books such as ‘The Year in Hypertension’, ‘The Year in Preventative Cardiology’, ‘Crawford & DiMarco's Cardiology’, ‘Cardiovascular disease and Diabetes’ etc. One of his aims is to promote cardiovascular research while ensuring excellent Cardiological services to our local population. His current research interests include Catheter-based interventions, MSCT coronary angiogram and Coronary disease in South Asians.
I am married with three boys. My main sporting interests are badminton and table tennis. I represented my state at the National level.
