Congratulations to Kathryn Topley, Spire Healthcare’s Head of Infection Control, who won the Nursing Practice award at the Laing & Buisson Independent Healthcare Awards on Tuesday night.
A wide range of leading companies from the private healthcare sector attended the prestigious awards, where Kathryn was recognised for her work developing and introducing a programme to enable hospitals to achieve hygiene excellence, as well as introducing surveillance following hip and knee replacement surgery.
We are also delighted that several other Spire Healthcare employees were finalists at the awards: Sara Ryan (Spire Bushey Hospital) for Management Excellence, Chris Middleton, Hazel Smith and Andrew Chatwood (Spire Clinical Education Team) for Excellence in Training and Paul James (Exchange Quay) for Best Use of Technology.
Rob Wise presented the award for Medical Practice, which was sponsored by Spire Healthcare.
