Kathryn Church qualified in physiotherapy from Southampton University in 1996. Three years were spent working in the NHS before working for Spire Norwich Hospital where she has worked for over 10 years. In addition to her work at Spire Norwich Hospital, Kathryn also works as an ergonomic workstation assessor.
Following an initial assessment, Kathryn will provide her patients with a diagnosis and explanation as to the cause of pain and/or dysfunction. Based on the assessment, a specific treatment programme will be devised for each individual. Treatment approaches may include hands-on soft tissue and joint mobilisation, a home exercise programme, ergonomic and postural education, or acupuncture.
Kathryn works closely with orthopaedic and rheumatology consultants to help provide a comprehensive patient service, ensuring appropriate onward referral for further investigations and to consultants as necessary.
Kathryn is working towards completing a Masters in Health Sciences at the UEA in 2010.
