I have been a Consultant in Norwich for 22 years. For 15 years my main interests were in trauma and limb reconstruction, but more recently I have developed the foot and ankle service in Norwich. I cover all aspects of this field including ankle replacement, hindfoot surgery, ligament and sports injuries, and forefoot operations.

I have been both Department Chairman and Clinical Director at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Regional Advisor in Trauma and Orthopaedics for East Anglia, and have been a member of the Council of the British Orthopaedic Association. I was a member of the Specialist Advisory Committee in Orthopaedics for 5 years, and currently I am Chairman of the Intercollegiate Specialty Board in Trauma and Orthopaedics, which organises and regulates the Final Examinations in Orthopaedics, the FRCS (T&O)

In Europe I am President of the Orthopaedic Section of the Union of European Medical Specialists, which deals with Training and Practice across the European Union.
