Educated in Germany and graduated from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, Mr Köhler trained in plastic and hand surgery in Munich, Cologne and Wuerzburg as well as in Sydney and Pokhara, Nepal. He became Deputy Senior Consultant at the Julius Maximilians University in Wuerzburg in 2008.
Having had the privilege of being the lead plastic surgeon for the Obesity Centre in Wuerzburg, he was exposed to many post bariatric procedures and establised his interest and expertise in this field.
During his training Mr Köhler undertook cosmetic surgical fellowships in Rochester, Minnesota, Louisville, Kentucky, Dublin and Brussels. There he enjoyed a wide exposure to cosmetic surgery as well as non-surgical treatments which he was able to bring home to Germany and put into practice.

He was appointed as a consultant at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and the James Paget Hospital in 2010 and joined Spire Norwich Hospital in 2011.
In private practice he is a member of Plastic Surgery Associates (PSA) in Norwich.
