Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, Norfolk and Norwich NHS Foundation Trust

My clinical practice spans the generality of orthopaedic surgery, both upper and lower limb, but with an emphasis on the management of complicated acute and chronic fracture surgery. This encompasses the treatment of bone non-union and deformity resulting from both congenital conditions and acquired injuries. I have a particular interest in the use of external fixators to help in the management of these problems, but will always use the technique best suited to the problem and the patient.
During my training I spent time in the Liverpool Limb Reconstruction Unit and in Denver Medical Centre, Colorado gaining invaluable experience in complex surgical techniques.
I currently work as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital providing a tertiary level service for complex fractures and limb reconstruction to a population of 5.5million people!
An active sporting and family life provides balance to my complex workload. My proudest medal collection centres around 2 Marathons and 2 Ironman triathlons!
