Miss Ali graduated from St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, (University of London) in 1992 with first class BSc honours.

Postgraduate surgical training was undertaken at several London teaching hospitals, as well as specialist units such as Great Ormond Street and St Andrews Centre. Miss Ali conducted research into innate skin defence mechanisms at the Centre for Cutaneous Research and was awarded her doctorate in 2007.

In 2004, Miss Ali won the Stephen Kroll Scholarship to study microvascular breast reconstruction in Gent, Belgium. In 2006, she won an International Microvascular fellowship to study microvascular reconstructive surgery in Taiwan for a year. She has also been awarded a BAPS European scholarship and the Cutler's Surgical Fellowship.

Miss Ali is a highly trained and experienced microvascular reconstructive surgeon with a specialist interest in all aspects of Breast surgery and has published and presented nationally and internationally. She has been very active in writing and editing books on breast surgery as well as specialist literature on microvascular surgery. Miss Ali has collaborated with some of the world's leading authorities on Breast reconstruction and microvascular surgery.

The aesthetics of Breast reconstruction are fundamental to Miss Ali's practice and she has devoted considerable time to gaining expertise in correcting congenital breast abnormalities and improving breast symmetry; as well as enhancing breast aesthetics with procedures such as augmentation, reduction and lifts. Miss Ali is experienced in minimal scar techniques and prefers single scar breast surgery.

Miss Ali is especially interested in facial aesthetic surgery and all aspects of non-surgical rejuvenation. Miss Ali is a keen proponent of using autologous tissues in cosmetic practice and prefers to use natural fillers and agents. Increasing demand has led to the addition of gynaecological reconstruction and genital surgery to her practice.

Miss Ali is a warm, approachable and friendly surgeon whose first aim is to understand the needs of the patient. She is open and clear about possible solutions and supports her patients fully.
