Dr Joegi Thomas is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Spire Norwich Hospital offering private rheumatology care in our clean and comfortable hospital.
Dr Thomas received his specialist rheumatology training at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, West Suffolk Hospital and Southend Hospital before becoming a Consultant Rheumatologist at the James Paget University Hospital in 2007. During his specialist training in rheumatology Dr Thomas also undertook two years research in osteoporosis with the University of Hull at the Centre for Metabolic Bone Disease in East Yorkshire.
Dr Thomas specialises in the diagnosis and management of all forms of arthritis and joint pain, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, crystal arthritis (gout & pseudogout), connective tissue disease (lupus & sjogrens syndrome), osteoporosis and soft tissue (tendon & muscle) disorders.
Dr Thomas has developed a wide range of services for rheumatology patients including early arthritis clinics for the early diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis clinics and joint injection clinics.
