Mr Dhingra undertook basic undergraduate and postgraduate training in Ophthalmology from India. He underwent training in Midlands and higher surgical training at Liverpool. He further developed his sub-specialty interest in Medical retina and uveitis by undergoing specialised fellowship at Cardiff and Bristol Eye Hospital.
He is particularly well qualified, having carried out more than 1500 intravitreal injections for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and other retinal conditions. Additionally he has performed in excess of 2000 ophthalmic operations (including small-incision sutureless cataract/lens surgery).
He has presented and published in excess of 50 papers at national and international academic meetings and journal respectively including the prestigious Archives of Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology and Eye.
Mr Dhingra loves playing and watching cricket. He is an avid runner and aspires to run in a marathon some day.
