Mr Rawes has been a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at Pinderfields Hospital for twelve years. He has practiced privately at Methley Park Hospital throughout this period. He has had a broad training in orthopaedic and trauma surgery, but as a senior registrar and consultant he has specifically developed elective interests in lower limb, joint replacement, knee surgery and arthroscopy.

He completed his orthopaedic training with a Hip Fellowship with Professor Wroblewski at Wrightington Hospital and a Knee Fellowship with Mr Richard Parkinson at Arrowe Park Hospital.

He performs cemented and uncemented hip replacement including metal on metal and ceramic bearings and hip resurfacing. He performs cemented and uncemented knee replacements including high-flex and rotating platform designs and also patello-femoral and unicompartmental knee replacements.
