At Spire Methley Park Hospital, we can provide high quality antenatal care comprising a series of private consultations and ultrasound scans. All consultations are with Mr Robin Burr, Consultant Obstetrician and our midwife sonographer is on hand to provide the scans. All designed to provide continuity of care and the reassurance that you are in safe hands.
Pregnancy can be a fantastic but worrying time and Spire Methley Park Hospital has set up an antenatal package specifically designed to provide expectant parents with ongoing information regarding the health of mother and baby, helping to take the worry away and leaving you to enjoy the rest.
The standard package consists of six consultations (normally at 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36 weeks with a further one after birth).
The package includes three Foetal Growth Scans (normally at week 28, 32 and 36). Accurate assessment of the baby's growth inside the womb is one of the key tasks of good antenatal care; therefore it is essential that this is monitored carefully. All scans will be performed by a midwife sonographer, a midwife specially trained to undertake ultrasound scans.
The package offered can be varied and can be provided in either full or part to suit your individual needs. Continuity of care is a key factor and all your consultations will be with Mr Robin Burr. At each visit you will have the opportunity to discuss your progress and any concerns, Mr Robin Burr will also discuss the choices open to you for the delivery of your baby.
Although it is not necessary for you to have a formal referral from your GP, we do recommend that you tell your GP and midwife before coming to us. We will give you reports which you can insert into your pregnancy folder.
