The bariatric team have managed the care of over 1000 patients who have had weight loss surgery at Spire Manchester Hospital. The multi-disciplinary team work together to ensure the best level of care for all patients both before and after surgery. The team run a regular forum to offer patients life long support and the opportunity to meet with people on the same life changing pathway.
Our multi-disciplinary
weight loss team has won Spire Manchester an accreditation as a
centre of excellence for bariatric surgery.
The weight loss surgery team at Spire Manchester Hospital consists of Consultant Weight Loss (Bariatric) Surgeons, Specialist Bariatric Nurses, a Specialist Bariatric Dietician, and a Health Care Support Worker.
The bariatric team is also supported by an extended MDT including Cardiologists, Endocrinologists, Radiologists, Psychologists, Physicians.
