Mr Woolford trained in Ear, Nose & Throat surgery in Oxford and Manchester. In 1995 he undertook a fellowship at the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department, University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed his doctorate thesis a year later.
In 1999 he was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, and in January 2004 he returned as a Consultant to the University Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. Mr Woolford specialises in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and performs over 100 rhinoplasties each year. Mr Woolford is a member of European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of The British Assocation of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS), one of only four ENT surgeons who is a member of this Association and the only one outside of the South of England. He is active in teaching and training and is a faculty member of several national courses reflecting his expertise in nasal plastic surgery.
