Mr Oxborrow has been a full time consultant spinal surgeon for the last four and half years. He trained in Leeds and undertook a research degree looking into the familial relationships in normal spinal shape. Mr Oxborrow completed the national training fellowship in spinal surgery in Leeds prior to moving to Manchester to complete his training in 2003. During his training he presented papers at national and international meetings and won several prizes during this time. He currently practices in the spinal department of Hope Hospital and the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. He sees the full range of adult and paedeatric spinal problems and is actively involved in teaching and training. He has been an invited lecturer on courses through out this country and abroad. Mr Oxborrow has recently helped develop national guide lines for rheumatologists and GPs in the treatment of back pain.
Mr Oxborrow is leading the development of a Spinal MSC Module at Salford University.
