Mr Hisham Abouzeid has been a gynaecologist for more than 25 years. He graduated from medical school in 1983 and later obtained membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 1994.
In the last twenty years Mr Abouzeid has developed more skills and experience in gynaecological subspecialties. He received the RCOG’s certificate in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, accreditation for colposcopy from the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), and RCOG’s advanced training in gynaecological ultrasonography.
Currently, Mr Abouzeid is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He is taking the lead in gynaecological endoscopy in the trust and is the lead for gynaecological oncology at Rochdale Infirmary. He is also the lead gynaecologist in Greater Manchester Clinical Assessment and Treatment Centres (CATS).
Mr Hisham Abouzeid has a lovely family. Both he and his wife are doctors. She is a psychiatrist. He has two children, a boy and a girl. Both he and his children enjoy playing squash. He and his son also share a passion for football. The family spend their holidays touring the world, exploring its different magnificent cultures.
