Mr Oshodi qualified in 1983 and demonstrated in Anatomy at the University of Leicester in 1985. His initial training as a surgeon was at The University Hospital Wales, Cardiff before moving to the North West to complete his vascular training at The Royal Lancaster Infirmary, University of South Manchester and Manchester Royal Infirmary. He was appointed consultant vascular surgeon to The Royal Oldham Hospital in 2000.
He has been lead vascular surgeon to the Pennine Acute NHS Trust from 2006 to 2010. He introduced endovascular treatments of aortic abdominal aneurysm and varicose veins. He is a member of Vascular Governance North West, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Committee for Greater Manchester, and Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cardiac and Stoke Vascular Board.
Mr Oshodi has developed particular expertise in varicose veins, aortic aneurysm and carotid surgery for the prevention of stroke and TIA. His results are submitted to the regional and national vascular database. He has consistently met all the safety standards and is one of the few vascular surgeons now able to treat screen detected aneurysms.
Mr Oshodi is married to a pharmacist and they have two children. He enjoys swimming, playing guitar and football.
