Background Information 
Professional profile:
Mr Whitby graduated from Charing Cross Hospital medical school in 1979 and undertook training in plastic surgery in Manchester, Leeds, San Francisco and Adelaide. He gained additional experience in aesthetic surgery in New York.

After completing his training Mr Whitby was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon to South Manchester University Hospitals in 1993. He has 15 years experience in providing a full range of cosmetic surgery procedures.

Mr Whitby was appointed Hunterian Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1993 and has previously held the post of Regional Specialist Advisor in plastic surgery for the North West Region at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Personal profile:
Mr Whitby is married with four children. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, running and playing golf. He has a passion for rugby however his participation is now limited to watching his sons and supporting Sale Sharks.
