In 2003 Miss Jennie Taylor began working with Mr Basil Ammori (Consultant Surgeon) in the area of bariatric surgery. Since that time she has gained a large amount of knowledge, experience and understanding in the area of weight loss surgery.

Jennie aims to pass on her skills to patients and healthcare professionals to broaden the understanding of the role of surgery and diet.

Having joined University Hospital South Manchester in the year 2000, Jennie has gained the opportunity to work in several other specialist fields including nutritional support for Type 1 and 2 diabetes, Medical (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and IBS) and surgical gastroenterology. Nutritional support, cystic fibrosis and oncology are also areas which have formed a large area of her work.

Jennie's current role as acute team lead and critical care dietitian has further assisted in enhancing her skills across a wide range of specialities.
