Dr Panickar is a Paediatric Respiratory consultant at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. He did his Respiratory training at Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital-Alder Hey and Leicester Royal Infirmary and has been a Consultant since March 2007.
Dr Panickar's main interests are Asthma, Preschool Viral Wheeze,Troublesome cough and Recurrent chest infections.
Dr Panickar did 2 years research in the use of steroids in Viral wheeze. His major published work includes Oral prednisolone for preschool children with acute viral induced wheezing, Exhaled Nitric oxide in the management of Asthma, Intra muscular triamcinolone for difficult Asthma and Treatment failure in Tuberculosis.
Dr Panickar is married with one daughter.
