Dr Greenhalgh is a consultant cardiothoracic anaesthetist who trained in Manchester, mainly, but spent 18 months in London on the Westminster rotation and a year in Sydney, Australia. She sub-specialises in transoesophageal echocardiography being one of the first in the North West to pass the Society of Cardiovascular Anaesthesiologists (SCA) exam and the joint British Society of Echocardiology (BSE) and Association of Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists (ACTA) exam. Dr Greenhalgh runs the North West transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE) course. She also anaesthetises for plastic surgery and cardiac cases.
Dr Greenhalgh is also an examiner for the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
