Dr Hughes has been a consultant neuro-radiologist since 1991, with experience in all aspects of the speciality, particularly in magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography scanning of the brain, head, neck and spine. He also carries out interventional techniques, which include percutaneous spinal biopsy.
He began his medical education at St Mary’s Medical School, University of London and radiology training at both Oxford and Manchester. Further training undertaken overseas with attachments to Brisbane, Australia and Gothenburg, Sweden.
