Professional profile:
Dr Fitzgerald under took medical training at the University of St Andrew's and University of Manchester. He then went on to train in dermatology at Stoke on Trent and Liverpool. In 1996-7 he under took a fellowship in Cutaneous Oncology (skin cancer) at Yale University, USA.

Since 1997 he has worked as a Consultant Dermatologist at Hope Hospital, Salford and Fairfield General Hospital, Bury.  Dr Fitzgerald is Chair of the Salford Skin Cancer Local Multidisciplinary Team. 

In his private practice Dr Fitzgerald sees patients with all kinds of skin problems.
