Dr Bernstein trained at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He subsequently completed his Paediatric postgraduate training in London sub specialising in Paediatric Emergency Medicine with a Fellowship year at the Sydney Children's Hospital, Australia.

He is clinical lead of the new Paediatric Ambulatory unit (the PANDA unit) at Hope Hospital and also works at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. He is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and The Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

Dr Bernstein is happy to see children between 0-16 years at his private practice where he deals with a wide range of medical concerns. His consultations are child centred, arranged on an appointment basis. However he is happy to see patients on an emergency basis if required.

Dr Bernstein's consultations are conducted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
