Dr Leahy was appointed as consultant physician in general medicine and respiratory medicine in 1990. He works at Trafford General Hospital, Altrincham General Hospital, Stretford Memorial Hospital and the Spire Manchester Hospital. He has many years of experience as a consultant in the care of patients with a wide range of medical conditions. His experience across the field of general medicine is a considerable aid particularly when diagnosis is not initially clear.Dr Leahy is honorary lecturer in Medicine at the University of Manchester, as well as an examiner for the Royal Colleges of Physicians in London and Edinburgh.Having provided specialist respiratory services for many years he also has extensive publications in the field of respiratory disease and is member of the Bbitish Thoracic Society.
