Spire Manchester Hospital Awarded North West Bariatric Contract

Spire Manchester Hospital has been awarded the NHS contract for Bariatric (obesity) surgery by the North West specialist care team. The contract will commence from 1st April 2009 and will provide high quality bariatric care and support to patients from the following Primary Care Trusts:

  • Aston, Leigh and Wigan
  • Bolton
  • Bury
  • Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale
  • Manchester
  • Oldham
  • Salford
  • Stockport
  • Thameside and Glossop
  • Trafford

Funding for surgery will be considered by the PCT once the patient has completed a local weight management programme. For further information regarding elegibility for patients and funding please contact your local PCT or Dawn Davies, Matron at Spire Manchester Hospital on 0161 226 0112.
