Coffee and Cakes in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

October 2009

Everybody in the hospital got involved with both making and buying cakes with all proceeds going to the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. We also held a "Cake Bake Off" whereby our wannabe staff master chefs donned their aprrons to provide a selection of the most apertising sweet treats. 

The "Cake Bake Off" was judged by a panel of our best cake critics from around the hospital. After several slices of cake and cups of coffee our judges finally managed to arrive at a decision announcing the winner as Tricia Hamilton.

Congratulations to Trish on your beautifully light and fluffy lemon cheese cake - have an extra day's holiday on us!

Thank you to everyone who got involved, we hope you enjoyed the day and congratulations on raising over £250 for such a worthwhile cause.
