Info for doctors - referring to the LFC

How to refer patients to the London Fertility Centre

At the London Fertility Centre we can see patients either as a private patient through self-referral or following a referral by their GP. We would appreciate it if you could send your referral letter with recent copies of test results to our centre for the attention of our appointments secretary or by reminding your patient to bring the referral letter and recent copies of test results with them at the time of their initial consultation (See below for the list of tests we require before conducting our treatments). This is very helpful to our doctors and will save repeating tests unnecessarily so that we do not need to repeat the whole diagnostic process from the very beginning, LFC may be happy to accept tests results from other laboratories, so when available, please refer to the lists of tests needed and proceed with these even before the initial consultation.

Once your patients have booked their consultation, they will receive a copy of our patient information pack, which will include a copy of our current price list and map with directions. We will also send them registration forms, welfare of the child & consent to disclose forms, which will need to be completed & returned to us prior to the first consultation.

After the initial consultation and receiving patient’s consent for disclosure of their medical information, we will keep you updated with regards to the progress of the treatment, forwarding you correspondence between the Centre and patients.
