I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon at St Paul's Eye Unit, Royal Liverpool University Hospital providing specialist services.

I see patients for a range of conditions and treatments including but not limited to, cataract surgery, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and vitreo-retinal surgery.

I am a director of the Clinical Eye Research Centre at St Paul's Eye Unit, allowing access for patients to cutting edge treatment through local, national and international Phase II/III trials. I am honorary professor with the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool and been principal/chief investigator for numerous international and national trials of novel treatments and therapies.
