Training:
Dr Mohammed studied Medicine at the University of Glasgow. He completed the six years Mersey Deanery Training Programme in Cardiology and General Medicine where he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in the two specialties.
During his training he took more focused subspecialty training in advanced cardiac imaging including Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and cardiac MRI.
Experience:
Dr Mohammed gained wide experience in Medicine and Cardiology where he worked at some of the UK largest teaching hospitals and cardiology institutions in Glasgow, Staffordshire, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield.
In addition to his active role in invasive cardiology he has special interest in advanced cardiac imaging techniques and their role in selecting the most appropriate and evidence based medical or surgical treatment especially for coronary artery and valvular heart disease.
He is the clinical lead for 3D echocardiography and Cardiac MRI and has active interest in using these imaging modalities in the accurate assessment of cardiac structure and function.
He also has interest and experience in the assessment and follow-up of heart failure and cardiac transplant patients including cardiomyopathy and other hereditary heart disorders.
