After undergoing extensive training (in general orthopaedics & trauma) Mr Ashgar Ali is currently working as a specialist orthopaedic foot & ankle consultant at the New Queen Elizabeth Hospital of The University of Birmingham.
He aims to provide the highest quality foot & ankle service in my chosen elective sub-speciality area
Mr Ashgar Ali has a keen interest in total ankle replacement and has undergone specialist training in Liestal, Switzerland. He has also undertaken advanced training in ankle arthroscopy at the Amsterdam Medical Centre Hospital in Amsterdam, a world renowned Sports Injury Centre.
He is actively involved in the teaching and training of junior doctors as part of the West Midlands Post-Graduate Orthopaedic Training Scheme. He has published articles in International Journals and presented papers at numerous National and International conferences.
Mr Ashgar Ali is married and lives close to Little Aston Hospital. He is a keen cricket enthusiast and played cricket at University level in his younger days. Mr Ashgar Ali enjoy's travelling, reading and has an interest in world history.
