Mr M Shah is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Manor Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, Walsall since 2004.
Mr M Shah Completed Specialist Training On the Birmingham Rotation working at all the Major hospitals including Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Selly Oak Trauma, Birmingham Children Hospital etc. He spent some time in Southampton and in Sheffield with recognised advanced fellowships gaining experience in shoulders, elbow surgery hands and soft tissue injuries.
His primary interest is to achieve excellence in the management of the upper limb problems, without compromise.
He also provides a sports injury related service with comprehensive experience in all sports related injuries, including cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery.
He has of late developed an interest in Hip arthroscopy with keyhole surgery for all sports injuries and young adult hip problems. He has extensive training in advance and extreme hip arthroscopy with affiliation to The Richard Villar School of Hip Arthroscopy.
Mr M Shah also is on various Faculty that run courses on Shoulder arthroscopies and Hip Arthroscopy.
Mr M Shah is also on the Faculty for regional courses for the Exit exam in orthopaedics, Mr M Shah is a member of the BESS and BOA and ISHA and has various publications and presentations related to His interest.
Mr M Shah undertakes more than 200 upper limb arthroscopies per year and also 50 – 100 shoulder and elbow replacement per year. He also is the local lead on Hip arthroscopies
